BLACK & WHITE.

So recently we have bought Jude a new bed and he chose it himself. I originally wanted to get him a white bed because his room doesn't get that much light but Jude had his own plans and chose himself a black bed.
It also has a trundle bed underneath which I think is perfect because he's 6yrs now and will eventually start having sleepovers etc...
I have decided to give his whole room a makeover now and am going for the black & white theme, with an accent of Navy. I can't completely go away from the reds and yellows etc... as he does love color.
Anyways here are some inspiration pictures on what I'm looking to do (if he allows me) :)

This layout is very similar to Jude's room.

Love the stripes! I might want to make a blind with stripes for his room.

WHITE & WOOD

I have been picturing a white kitchen with light wood counter tops for a long time! I feel like it would just brighten and modernize my kitchen! Loving these inspiration pictures :)

Love the counter top.

Clean & Warm.

I'm also loving this wooden counter top.

White.
Similar layout to my kitchen. LOVE it!

OPEN-PLAN LIVING.

I have an open-plan living room/dining/office space and I can often find it a challenge to blend the decor and separate the areas. So I've taken some inspiration to help give me some ideas and you of course :)

NEUTRAL BATHROOM

I've always been drawn to a nice neutral bathroom for some reason. Especially when it has glowing candles in it. Aaahhh - I think I tend to see it as a relaxing area, you when you have a nice hot bath with an un-touched home magazine on a cold winters night!!! Dreamy :) So here are some neutral, calm and relaxing bathrooms to have a look at...

Love <3

My type of bathroom - cosy and warm.

Cute accents.

CORAL

Hi there. I apologize for being MIA - I must admit my computer is now officially broken  :( and I am currently typing from a wireless keyboard to my television. Not the most ideal place, as my family needs to use the TV too hehe :)

Anyways on a much lighter and prettier note - I am in love with the color Coral - I know it's become very popular all over - especially in the fashion world. So here are some Coral inspired rooms for you to enjoy.

Coral bedrooms. Accents of the color Mint work beautifully.

Coral painted dining chairs - great DIY project.

Fun Coral door. Another DIY idea.
Hints of Coral in the Living Room.

Gorgeous area. LOVE it.

Softer shades of Coral.

A mum did this for her daughters bathroom. It looks amazing - so calm and pretty don't you think?
Love this Living Room - so fun! And the only Coral accent is the blanket - see how it stands out.

ORGANISED.

Well hello there 2013. I am so very pleased to meet you :) Seeing that it is January - I find that it's the time to organize your home for the year ahead. The Christmas rush is over, the Christmas decor is packed away and all the presents are laying around everywhere (hehe, yes me too). So now is the time to get stuck in, while work is still not as hectic and weekends remain unplanned. I hope these pics will help warm up the motivation...

Storage is a great way to "hide" things that you don't want on display, like cords, toys, papers etc....

Having an organised kitchen makes you feel so good - as it's a place you use everyday.
An organised bathroom is the same as the kitchen, Keep everything in jars or baskets so you know where it is when you need it. Love the cake stand as storage - I might just do that in my bathroom.

I love a laundry that looks pretty and decorated - it's often a neglected place in the home. Also a clever idea for an organised lined cupboard is to place the duvet IN the matching pillow case - so you don't have to scrounge around for a matching set.
Love this idea.
Having an office area in your home is soooo handy - a place to keep your pens, papers, scissors etc... And why not make it stylish and decorated as well.
A cute way to keep your receipts.
